The main story I’m highlighting this week is personal to me. As I’ve mentioned here before — and as some of you have written in about — I think my older son has an anger management issue. He too quickly flies off the handle and starts yelling if he doesn’t get what he wants or if he thinks someone has slighted him.

It can be very hard to be around. What’s more, I worry about how this behavior, at 6, will manifest itself years from now. I can’t get Michael Ian Black’s viral piece “The Boys Are Not Alright” out of my head. Will my boy be alright? And, more importantly, what tools can I use now to help make sure he doesn’t have more, significant issues down the road?

Senior reporter Catherine Pearson, herself the mom of two delicious boys, spoke with a variety of experts about how to talk to your boys about their anger and how to handle it when they erupt. Personally, I find this piece to be incredibly useful, and one that I’ll unfortunately have to refer to in the future.

Tell me: how do you cope with your sons’ anger? What strategies do you employ? Would love to hear them. As always, you can find me at katea@huffpost.com.

Until next week,

Kate
