The gist? The private sector is better than the political realm at dealing with sexual abusers, once they've been outed publicly. We're certainly seeing this now. Harvey Weinstein, Charlie Rose and Louis CK all faced swift consequences after their misdeeds were brought to light. Politicians are only held accountable at the ballot box, Fang points out. And partisan voters may be willing to overlook misconduct in order to get the Supreme Court where they want it to be.  It's a pattern getting tested right now in Alabama where Roy Moore is running for Senate.
