Burke, founder of youth organization Just Be Inc., created the “Me Too” campaign in 2007 long before hashtags even existed. The 44-year-old said she created the campaign as a grass-roots movement to reach sexual assault survivors in underprivileged communities.Activist Tamika D. Mallory said Sunday that she was unfairly kicked off of an American Airlines flight over a seating dispute. Mallory, known for her work as national co-chair of the Women’s March movement, was on a flight from Miami to New York when the incident occurred.
