Remember the more innocent MySpace era, when no one was getting official notices that their personal data was used to influence a presidential election? Those were the days, huh? If you, like an estimated 87 million other people, were affected, you’ll soon get a notice on Facebook that yep, your information was compromised. We’re gonna tell you what you should do about that.Xx, Janie If you’ve ever forked over too much money for a special eye cream, you’ve probably wondered if it’s one giant ripoff. Can’t you just use your regular moisturizer? Well, no, but also sometimes. The quick take is that you generally do need a different product for the especially thin skin around your eyes, an area with different needs and concerns than the rest of your face. But there are some basic moisturizers that can do both, which can save you tons of dough. Did you know you should be swiping both ways on your iPhone email? It seems everyone knows to swipe left for a few quick mail options, but you can also swipe right to immediately mark an email as read – or whatever other action you want. (Our advice: Keep “mark as read” and “trash” on separate swipe commands, especially if you have large fingers like we do.) Here’s how to customize your swipe options:Open your iPhone’s settings app and scroll down to “Mail.”Choose “Swipe Options.”Now, click on each direction – “Swipe Left” and “Swipe Right” – to pick the options you want for each direction. If your “move to” option defaults to archiving an email, but you’d prefer to send it to the trash, follow Lifewire’s instructions for changing that. Done!
