How to handle back-to-school anxiety
|
|
Dear HuffPost reader, We’re kicking off our summer virtual events with a special look at the struggles parents have been facing during these challenging times marked by the pandemic and social protests. We are planning a series of three events on parenting, starting with a focus on ways to cope with the anxiety from back-to-school planning.
Some of the questions that we often hear today are: How do we get ready for the back-to-school season when we don’t really even know what it will look like? How do parents manage the uncertainty and personal anxiety, on top of the health and safety fears you might have? How do you get your kids ready to reenter society when you’ve been telling them for months to avoid it?
Please join Kate Auletta, our senior editor of parenting, and Kate Palmer, head of HuffPost Life, as they discuss the uncertainties and issues raised by parents across the country. They will also answer some of your questions during a live Q&A. |

You don’t have to be parents to enjoy the discussion, which will be informative for grandparents, educators and anyone else interested in the impact of COVID-19 on education.
The event is scheduled to take place from 1:30 p.m. ET to 2:30 p.m. ET on Friday, July 24. And there are two ways to attend:
1. Sign up to be a free HuffPost member before 11:59pm ET on Tuesday July 21, and we'll e-mail you a promo code for free registration to the event.
2. Purchase a ticket for $10 here.
We hope to see you there! Stay safe,
Jenn Kho director of strategic innovation |
