We've reached this period in the pandemic where everything is confusing. Thanks to different approaches to reopening across the country, many don't really know what's "safe" to do right now and what isn't. Can you go to the dentist? A restaurant? A hotel? A pool?

Got a spare minute? Use it to change your life. Our "A Minute And Change" series will help you become happier, healthier and more productive by doing one thing a little differently. This week's tip comes from psychotherapist Kresence Campbell on the technique that can help people stay calm during periods of acute stress:
Try the 5-4-3-2-1 method to counteract any panic. List five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things you can hear, two things you can smell and one thing you can taste. It helps ground you and puts you in the present, and not focus on the past or the future. |
