While there, Chloe Angyal talked to Deborah Williams, 46, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a week before her 9th birthday. Williams said her insulin, which is covered under Obamacare, would cost $800 out of pocket. "I don't have $800 a month after my mortgage and car insurance and everything else," she said. "I don't know anyone who does."Once Donald Trump was elected president, Williams said, she decided to get as healthy as possible. "I need to get my butt in gear, because I don't know how healthy I'll be able to afford to be in the next three years," she explained. Losing her health insurance would mean selling her house and moving in with her parents.Williams had surgery last year for severe uterine fibroids, which was also covered by Obamacare. "If I could meet Obama, I'd thank him for making me healthy," she said. And if she could meet Trump? "I'd ask him for his definition of 'life-threatening.' Because either I don't understand it, or he doesn't." “People tell me, ‘Sam, you can’t save everybody.’ But I damn sure can keep trying. I’m not gonna give up,” Sam Rhodes told HuffPost. “It’s painful, but I just want to do it.”Rhodes is a retired Army command sergeant major who runs Warrior Outreach. The nonprofit in Fortson, Georgia, offers free programs that teach veterans and their loved ones the basics of horse riding and care, with the goal of helping vets who have post-traumatic stress disorder.
