We all like to think we’re the perfect partner (or spouse, or roommate…) but the reality is, we all do things from time to time (or all the time) that bother the people we live with. That’s especially true nowadays, when we’re completely housebound. When things start getting tense, it’s easy to blame the other people we’re quarantining with. Especially when there is nowhere to go to blow off steam.
The reality is, we’re likely doing things that are equally irksome to our lockdown partners. Heck, it’s approaching 10 weeks of staying at home in some states! We’re all going a little stir crazy. It’s a good time to take a look at your own behaviors and figure out if you could be a better housemate.

Many engaged couples are having to postpone or adjust their wedding plans due to coronavirus, and in some cases that means having to tell people that they are now uninvited. Eek! “I couldn’t have ever imagined myself giving a blessing for a couple to uninvite already invited wedding guests, and yet here we are in uncharted territory,” etiquette columnist Thomas P. Farley told us. Hey, you do what you gotta do! If you find yourself in this predicament, we have advice on how to do it respectfully. |
