If there's one thing I can be certain of in my life, it's that I will wake up in the middle of a perfectly good sleep at exactly 3:37 a.m. every day. It happens every single night, no matter what time I go to bed. (Annoying much?)

Turns out this is a pretty common phenomenon, and reporter Colleen Travers got the scoop on why it happens. She also got some advice on how to stop it.

WHY YOU WAKE UP AT THE SAME TIME EVERY NIGHT

I know I'll be trying these tips in hopes that they'll halt my nightly wakeups. I hope they work for you, too.

❤️,

Lindsay

A minute and change

Got a spare minute? Use it to change your life. Our "A Minute And Change" series will help you become happier, healthier and more productive by doing one thing a little differently. This week's tip comes from Denver-based therapist Tina Gilbertson on overcoming negative feelings. Simply put? You move on from them by feeling them first.

"Judging yourself for your emotions is like judging yourself for your body temperature. It’s not in your control. It’s common to believe we can choose our emotions, but if you think about it, that’s nonsense. If we could choose our feelings, why wouldn’t everyone be happy all the time?"
