| | During the COVID 19 lockdown, India seems to have slid back to an age where information is disclosed to citizens only on a ‘need to know basis’ by government officials instead of adhering to the ‘people’s right to know’ principle, said right to information activist Venkatesh Nayak in an interview with HuffPost India.
Nayak made these remarks while responding to questions over email about the recent advisory issued by the Central Information Commission to the Narendra Modi government to release data about migrant workers who continue to remain stranded across India. |
