Trump’s new antagonist is Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who White House advisers lashed Sunday, taking their lead from Trump who a day earlier called him “very dishonest and weak.” [Reuters] [Tweet | Share on Facebook] SINGAPORE FLING Trump has said his historic date with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un could “work out very nicely,” as officials from both countries meet Monday to narrow differences on how to end a nuclear standoff on the Korean peninsula. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Monday the “ultimate objective” of the summit remains North Korea's denuclearization. [Reuters] ‘MISTAKE’ TO READMIT RUSSIA Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says Trump’s request to readmit Russia to the G-7 would be a “mistake,” adding: “The Soviet Union may have fallen, but the evil it represents is alive and well in Putin’s Russia.” Earlier, Putin said he would be willing to rejoin the group, but Canada’s Trudeau said the G-7 is not “even remotely” considering it. Russia was suspended from the group in 2014 after in annexed Crimea.
