Click here   By Paul Vale     Tuesday, December 18 RUSSIAN TROLL FARMS STILL ATTACKING U.S. Russia’s disinformation campaign on U.S. social media was more far-reaching than originally thought, with troll farms working to help elect Trump in 2016, according to reports by the Senate intelligence committee. And the campaign didn’t end when Trump reached the White House; the same troll farms are still working to stoke racial and political tensions in America. [AP] [Tweet | Share on Facebook] STONE CAVES: SETTLES $100M LAWSUIT Trump’s former campaign adviser Roger Stone settled a defamation suit, agreeing to publicly apologize for publishing false information on the right-wing conspiracy site Infowars. The settlement ends a $100 million lawsuit by Chinese businessman Guo Wengui, whom Stone falsely claimed had been convicted of financial crimes for donations to 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and former Trump senior adviser Steve Bannon. [HuffPost] CONGRESS CAN’T INTERVIEW BORDER AGENTS The Department of Homeland Security has informed members of Congress that they cannot interview Border Patrol agents who detained and processed a 7-year-old Guatemalan girl who died in their custody. [Reuters] EX-CBS CHIEF LOSES $120M PAYOUT Former CBS chief executive Les Moonves will lose his $120 million severance package. “With regard to Mr. Moonves, we have determined that there are grounds to terminate for cause, including his willful and material misfeasance, violation of Company policies and breach of his employment contract, as well as his willful failure to cooperate fully with the Company’s investigation,” the network said in a statement.
