Click here   By Paul Vale     Monday, December 3 TRUMP: BEIJING TO CUT U.S. CAR TARIFFS President Donald Trump tweeted that China had agreed to cut tariffs on cars it imports from the U.S., saying Beijing will "reduce and remove" the tariffs, which currently stand at 40 percent. [Reuters] [Tweet | Share on Facebook] CHINA TRADE WAR ‘PAUSED’ Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping have suspended the months-long escalation of their ongoing trade dispute, with the U.S. agreeing to delay by 90 days a planned increase in tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese imports so the two nations have time to iron out their trade differences. [HuffPost] QATAR EXITS OPEC CARTEL Qatar said it will leave OPEC, the oil cartel, on January 1 after nearly 60 years of membership. "The withdrawal decision reflects Qatar's desire to focus its efforts on plans to develop and increase its natural gas production," Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the country's minister of state for energy affairs, said via Twitter.
