Ready for this jelly?
| | Two years ago, when my eldest was 4 and my youngest was barely 1, my older son threw a massive fit on Christmas morning when — despite getting loads of presents —he failed to receive the “one thing he really wanted,” which happened to have been a very expensive train station from the Thomas the train line, and which of course was NOT happening.
There were tears, from him for sure but mostly from me. I felt equal parts anger at him for being so ungrateful and spoiled, and sad that I had failed him. It was horrible.
Fast forward to now, and we here at HuffPost Parents are working on a series of stories about teaching and instilling gratitude in our young kids.
So this is where you come in: Are there any questions or thoughts you have about this topic that you want more clarity on? I’d love to hear from you, and we’ll do our best to produce answers for you.
Please let me know at katea@huffpost.com.
Until next week,
Kate
