There's been a lot of talk about the Wuhan coronavirus lately, especially now that there are multiple confirmed cases in the U.S. Experts stress there's nothing to panic about yet (in fact, you should be more concerned about the flu).

owever, people are still taking lots of precautions, including wearing face masks. Do they actually protect you from getting sick? Reporter Julia Ries looked into it.

DO MEDICAL FACE MASKS WORK?

Make sure to stay healthy overall by washing your hands and practicing good lifestyle habits, like eating well and exercising. And please, if you haven't already, get your flu shot.

Lindsay

The pursuit of happiness isn't always easy. That's why Yale created an entire course on it for students, and then later brought that class to the masses.

Reporter Stephanie Barnes chatted with the professor of the course about what we often get wrong about happiness. I highly recommend reading if you want to increase your joy.

A minute and change

Got a spare minute? Use it to change your life. Our "A Minute And Change" series will help you become happier, healthier and more productive by doing one thing a little differently. This week's tip comes from social psychologist Alison Ledgerwood on the benefits of spending five minutes on a gratitude journal each day:

You start thinking that way a little bit more spontaneously through the rest of the day as well. It gets easier. The first time you sit down to write it, you’re like, ‘I’m grateful for my dog. And uh, my dog. I guess it was sunny today.’ The second day it’s a little easier and the third day, you’re writing about a lot more stuff.
