And the one thing Millennial men won't do
| | When I picture couples sleeping in separate bedrooms, what comes to mind is the cliché of the husband or wife spending the night on the couch after a particularly bad argument. But according to a 2017 survey, 14% of American couples sleep in separate beds or bedrooms — and that’s often by choice.
Why would a happy couple opt for separate bedrooms? The short answer is: they want better sleep. Maybe their work hours don’t align and one partner needs to be up early or comes home super late. Perhaps snoring is an issue, or they prefer different temperature rooms. Whatever the case may be, sleeping apart has some real benefits — despite popular misconceptions. Couples who do it clued us in about why it works for them.
