I wish we could stick with the lovey-dovey feels here, but the week has been filled with some really heavy news. First, attorney Michael Avenatti said that he gave prosecutors a previously undisclosed tape of R. Kelly allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old. Avenatti told HuffPost that the tape was recorded in Chicago in the late 1990s, when Kelly would have been in his late 20s or early 30s. This could potentially mean an indictment for Kelly. Shifting gears, Jussie Smollett gave his first interview since being attacked in Chicago earlier this month and he's "pissed off." Not only because he was the victim of a racist, homophobic attack, but also because people are questioning his story. "It's not necessarily that you don't believe that this is the truth, you don't even want to see the truth," he said on "Good Morning America. And if that isn't enough, Katy Perry became the latest white person to troll us with blackface during Black History Month. Make it make sense, Lord.
