President Donald Trump is back on Twitter, and he has a new yarn to spin. Contradicting both his own intelligence agencies and a verbatim statement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin last week, Trump claimed on Tuesday that Russia will “be pushing hard for the Democrats” in the upcoming election, and that “They definitely don’t want Trump.”Trump’s claim earned an immediate rebuke from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who let the president debunk himself.Facing blowback for the performance in which he sided with Russia over his own intelligence agencies, Trump said last Tuesday he “accepts” the U.S. intelligence findings that Russia meddled, before rejecting them again a day later. Homeland Security Advisory Council members resigned over the "repugnant" family separations. “This is child kidnapping, plain and simple,” Eilzabeth Holtzman wrote. Trump's legal team is reportedly inches closer to a Mueller interview. Rudy Giuliani reportedly says a Trump interview with special counsel Robert Mueller is “still on the table.” Trump is expected to offer billions in aid for U.S. farmers who are caught in his trade war. The Washington Post earlier reported that the White House was readying $12 billion in assistance, citing two people familiar with the plan. HuffPost is now a part of Oath and a part of Verizon.
