Some of the first to react included Democratic lawmakers. Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-Tx.) said "President Trump must resign or be impeached." Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) brought up Mueller's investigation: "Mueller shouldn't end his inquiry, but it's about time for him to show Congress his cards before it's too late for us to act."   WHAT ELSE IS HAPPENING?House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Friday officially canceled a congressional delegation trip to Afghanistan after President Donald Trump leaked her travel plans to retaliate against her request to postpone his State of the Union address until after the government shutdown. Vice President Mike Pence defended second lady Karen Pence’s decision to take a teaching job at a school that discriminates against LGBTQ individuals and families, suggesting that the uproar over it is an attack on Christianity. William Barr, President Donald Trump’s nominee for attorney general, spelled out exactly how he defines obstruction, and it looks a lot like what the president stands accused of in a bombshell report from BuzzFeed.
