The Queen biopic “Bohemian Rhapsody” was the other big winner, with awards for Best Motion Picture and Best Actor. [HuffPost] TRUMP ‘RELATES’ TO UNPAID FEDERAL WORKERS President Donald Trump, who claims to be a billionaire, told reporters he can “relate” to federal workers who won’t be able to pay their bills during his shutdown of the government. The president also said he would be willing to accept a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border that is made out of steel rather than concrete. Democrats “don’t like concrete, so we’ll give them steel. Steel is fine,” he said. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) railed against Democrats for not caving to Trump’s demands for wall funding. “We’re having to negotiate with people who see the Border Patrol agents gassing children, rather than defending our borders as professional law enforcement officers, and we’re negotiating with people who will give us one dollar for the wall, even though it’s immoral,” he said. [HuffPost] BOLTON SHIFTS SYRIA POLICY National security adviser John Bolton said that the American military withdrawal from northeastern Syria is conditioned on defeating the remnants of the Islamic State group and on Turkey assuring the safety of U.S.-allied Kurdish fighters, contradicting Trump’s claim that he was pulling troops out within 30 days. A source told CNN that the White House forced Sweeney out.
