Eat your heart out
| | Happy Friday and happy Valentine's Day! I'm heading out on a family trip to Florida, where I hope to eat as many bowls of juicy Florida strawberries (topped with ridiculous amounts of whipped cream, of course) as humanly possible. Whether you've got plans with loved ones today or you're just in the mood to hunker down with a big bag of Doritos dipped in pudding (keep reading, you'll see what I mean), we've got something for you below. Happy weekend!

| | | | Yes, that's a pickle covered in chocolate. But people like MUCH weirder foods than that. Have you ever thought of making your tuna salad with fruit punch? Or dipping Doritos in chocolate pudding? We explored some of the oddest food combinations and talked to a neuroscientist who explained why we gravitate toward them. |

| | | | No-boil lasagna noodles: A crime against pasta? |
| | Boiling lasagna noodles and carefully laying them out on a sheet pan can be time-consuming and messy, especially if you're in a rush to get dinner together. That's why I love no-boil lasagna sheets ― you just layer them in your lasagna dish uncooked, and dinner's in the oven in a couple minutes. It's not the fussiest dish you'd make to impress someone, but my family doesn't have the most discerning palates, so they don't even notice the difference. But what do professional chefs think? We asked some to find out whether no-boil noodles are a godsend or a sin. |
