A glimmer of hope in the darkness
| | | | | | | | Look, it's not all bad. While I was cowering under the covers fretting about the fate of democracy, a heroic band of teenage girls were heading into Washington to fight for the Equal Rights Amendment.

The ERA is a provision that simply states that the government cannot discriminate against someone on the basis of sex. Yet this very concept has absolutely freaked out men and some women for nearly a century.
Supreme Court justice and feminist icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg even seemed to pooh-pooh the ERA earlier this week. But these young girls aren't taking no for answer. |
