HARVEY WEINSTEIN GUILTY IN RAPE TRIAL Former Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was found guilty on two charges of sexual assault. A jury affirmed that Weinstein forced a sexual act on former production assistant Miriam “Mimi” Haleyi in 2006, and that he raped the once-aspiring actor Jessica Mann in 2013. The panel found him not guilty on the two most serious charges of predatory sexual assault, which carry a maximum penalty of life behind bars. [HuffPost]

IRAN STRUGGLES TO CONTAIN VIRUS OUTBREAK The coronavirus death toll has risen to 2,698 worldwide, with the vast majority in mainland China. The total number of global cases stands at over 80,000. South Korea now has more than 890 coronavirus cases. Europe's biggest outbreak is in Italy, where seven people have died and there are over 220 infections, with restrictions imposed on some municipalities.
