There's no escaping it
| | Can marriage ruin a perfectly good relationship? That’s the question we set out to answer, as millenials are increasingly putting off marriage and having children later in life.
“I see couples who were ‘solid’ at the beginning of their relationship and then get married but end up struggling and feeling that marriage ruined their relationship or that they are with the wrong person just a few years in,” therapist Liz Higgins told us. “In my clinical experience, the seven-year itch has begun to look more like the three-year one."
But what is it about marriage that changes a relationship — sometimes for the worse? We found out.
