| | Detecting asymptomatic cases of Covid-19 is “our biggest worry”, ICMR’s senior scientist Dr Raman R Gangakhedkar told NDTV on Monday. He said 80% of cases in India were asymptomatic and that the only way to detect them was through contact tracing.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said of the 736 samples collected recently, 186 were found to be COVID-19 positive and these people did not know that they were carrying the virus.
In Maharashtra, which has the highest number of novel coronavirus cases in India, over 70% of those reported are asymptomatic, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said. |
