The coronavirus outbreak has us questioning literally everything: how to grocery shop, how to clean those groceries, how to receive and open packages, how to do our laundry, how to exercise safely outside and so much more.

Unsurprisingly, many people are wondering about sex. The good news is, there’s currently no indication that COVID-19 is present in semen or vaginal secretions, nor have other coronaviruses been known to spread through those fluids. However, the virus can spread during sex because of the close proximity to your partner (unless you can somehow do the deed from 6 feet away! 🤪).

Solo sex — with proper hygeine measures — is a safe bet. But what if you and your live-in partner don’t have any symptoms of COVID-19? They’re your next safest option — and there are mental health benefits to getting busy with them, too.

Here's the lowdown

One of the things that has stressed me out most since the pandemic started is my grandma. She lives next door and in normal times, I see her daily. Knowing the virus seems to more seriously affect older people has weighed heavily on my mind, and I’ve kept my distance for that reason. Coronavirus has changed a lot of our relationships with grandparents and other elderly people in our lives.
