| | Porn is far less taboo than it used to be. If you do some digging beyond the free, mainstream content that can be demeaning and degrading, there are sites offering ethical, respectful porn that feminists stand behind. Some people even view it as a tool of empowerment for women.
So, how to handle porn responsibly? Watching porn as entertainment (rather than as a reflection of real sex) shouldn’t harm your sex life. But if you’re using it in place of intimacy with your partner or you believe that the sex acts depicted onscreen are par for the course in real life, you could find yourself in trouble. These are the signs your porn habits — or your partner’s — have become problematic.
