| | I'm just as obsessed with coronavirus news as everyone else, but let's take a break for a moment, talk about the 2020 race, and wonder what could have been.
On Thursday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) released another plan. This time for how to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. It was hard not to feel a deep sadness that she's not going to ever be calling the shots in the White House (which currently has no plan).
Plenty of ink has been spilled about why the U.S. won't elect a woman. You can read our pieces here and here and here. Or, I'll just say quickly what the issue is: misogyny. It's not hard to understand really.
Amid that flurry of coverage about why the U.S. won't elect a woman, something important may have gotten lost. Who was the woman we didn't choose this time? HuffPost's Zach Carter wrote a beautiful piece outlining what is so incredible about Warren. I reccomend taking a break from reading all the scary virus news to check it out. |
