I know it's easy to panic when you hear that we're on the verge of a possible pandemic with the coronavirus. This piece by reporter Caroline Bologna may help if you're feeling really anxious. We also have a story on whether disinfectant wipes work and how long the virus can live on surfaces by reporter Julia Ries. (Bad news: It's a little longer than you think.) And if you're curious about the easy way you can prevent the spread of the disease, check out this important story by reporter Nicole Pajer.

Bottom line, don't freak out yet. Just please, please wash your hands. (And stop buying medical face masks if you're not sick. Seriously.)

❤️,

Lindsay

A Minute And Change

Got a spare minute? Use it to change your life. Our "A Minute And Change" series will help you become happier, healthier and more productive by doing one thing a little differently. This week's tip comes from psychotherapist Saniyyah Mayo on what she does to ward off work dread, especially on Mondays.

I try to use positive self-talk and focus on all the positives of the job versus the negative. And on Monday morning, I’ll put on a podcast I like to help cultivate a positive mood on my way to work.

Before You Go...

In lighter news, my recent obsession is Netflix's hit reality show "Love Is Blind." It's a bonkers series where a bunch of singles go on dates without seeing one another in person. They fall in love, get engaged, then meet IRL.

You can sum up the show's chaotic energy by one scene, where a contestant gives her dog a few slurps of wine from her glass during a heated conversation she's having with her new finacé. Reporter Jamie Feldman wrote about that absurd exchange and explained why it's a major no-no to give your pup some vino.
