Click here Friday, October 5DEMS SLAM ‘INCOMPLETE’ KAVANAUGH PROBE Democrats tore into what they viewed as gaping holes in the FBI probe into sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh after the report was handed over to the Senate. “The most notable part of this report is what’s not in it,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said. “It looks to be the product of an incomplete investigation that was limited, perhaps by the White House, I don’t know.” [HuffPost]GOP SENATORS SATISFIED WITH FBI REPORT Key Republican senators, however, expressed their satisfaction with the report, calling it a “thorough investigation” and a “comprehensive review.” But dozens of interviews with Kavanaugh’s former classmates at Yale revealed that FBI investigators interviewed just a small fraction of the witnesses who could shed light on the allegations. [HuffPost]KAVANAUGH BLAMES YOU FOR MAKING HIM ANGRY Kavanaugh wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal to explain his angry and partisan ranting during last week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. “My hearing testimony was forceful and passionate. That is because I forcefully and passionately denied the allegation against me,” Kavanaugh wrote. “I might have been too emotional at times,” he added. “I know that my tone was sharp, and I said a few things I should not have said.” [HuffPost]RETIRED JUSTICE: KAVANAUGH DISQUALIFIED HIMSELF Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens said he does not support the confirmation of Kavanaugh. The judge “had the qualifications” to be a Supreme Court justice but his behavior at a hearing last week ― where he defended himself against allegations of sexual assault by blaming Democrats seeking “revenge on behalf of the Clintons” ― was inappropriate and disqualifying, Stevens said. [HuffPost]COMEDIAN AMY SCHUMER AMONG 100 D.C. ARRESTS Amy Schumer was one of the hundreds of protesters detained in Washington as they urged senators to reject Kavanaugh’s confirmation. [HuffPost]GOP PUSHING AHEAD WITH CONFIRMATION Republicans moved forward with plans for a key procedural vote on Friday and a final vote on Saturday to confirm Kavanaugh. No Republicans have said they will vote against Kavanaugh, although four swing-vote senators, including three Republicans, have not committed to supporting him. However, corralling international opposition to the Chinese crackdown is difficult — especially as some U.S. allies continue to support Beijing’s campaign. [HuffPost]FOX NEWS HOST: KAVANAUGH IS JESUS Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld compared Kavanaugh’s path to the Supreme Court to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. “Christ died so that the mob wouldn’t survive,” he said. “He died for everyone's sins.” And that’s apparently what Democrats have done to Kavanaugh?
