Click here For months, we've seen headline after headline of white people using 911 as their personal concierge whenever they feel uncomfortable around black people doing normal things like waiting at a Starbucks, shopping for clothes or walking into their own homes. Though this is far from new, it is disturbing every time and it is essential that we continue to call out these injustices. In 2018, there’s no reason black people should have to prove our innocence for . Too many experience casual instances of racial profiling that can lead to fatal consequences. In an effort to shed light on this everyday injustice, Black Voices has collected stories from black people across the country and beyond in a new project: Existing While Black.
