No Images? Click here Lock Her Up?Ivanka did it, too.The First Daughter and senior White House adviser sent hundreds of official White House emails from her personal email account, the Washington Post reported this week. The emails went to White House aides, Cabinet officials and her assistants. After making some vile press-bashing comment about "misinformation," and taking a little swipe at Hillary Clinton, Ivanka's spokesman said the First Daughter wasn't aware she was breaking the rules at the time and she didn't use her personal account for any classified information.OK. Sure.As you'd expect, she was instantly charged with hypocrisy.Recall: Donald Trump turned Hillary Clinton's emails into a capital offense during the 2016 election. He wanted to "lock her up" because of how she handled her email. His supporters actually thought this was a valid argument. But, it wasn't then. And even though it's easy and not wrong to criticize Ivanka, the email thing isn't a big deal now either. There are a hundred other far more outrageous things going on in Trumpland to get upset about.I'm going to get hate mail for saying this, but, as long as she is not sending information about highly classified stuff, really who cares about freaking emails?People mix-up work email and personal email all the time. Banks use huge compliance departments in order to ensure that their workers don't use email for inappropriate personal emails. And they still do!It should be common sense at this point not to use email for anything too personal, private or requiring confidentiality. Seriously, it's 2018.Yes, government workers -- especially ones in the White House talking about highly classified information -- should be even more careful. And definitely government workers who made their way to power by ginning up false (misogynist) outrage over a meaningless email scandal should take particular care. But let's save our outrage for something else.Have a happy Thanksgiving!
