The Wall Street Journal reported the DOJ aims to get Assange ― who has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London since 2012 ― into a U.S. courtroom. The court filing, which a Justice Department spokesman said was made erroneously, didn’t specify the charges. Ron Hood, the bill’s primary sponsor, said the measure would stop “babies” from being “slaughtered before they’re even born.” Hood said during floor debate that he hoped the measure would be used to challenge Roe v. Wade.
