Tim Walz (D) signed a law that repeals the state’s marital rape exception, which protected rapists against prosecution if they lived and had an ongoing sexual relationship with the victim. [HuffPost]ANOTHER MIGRANT CHILD DIES IN U.S. CUSTODY A 16-year-old migrant boy died in U.S. government custody this week, the third child since December to die in detention. Officials have not yet revealed the identity of the teen, who officials said was not accompanied by any family. [HuffPost]GUNS IN CHURCH A bill that passed the Texas Senate would give licensed gun owners the right to be armed in houses of worship unless a property specifically bans weapons from its premises. After filing the bill in January, state Sen. Donna Campbell (R) said “a good guy with a gun” is the best defense against shooters. [HuffPost]NASA: SCAM COST $700 MILLION A former NASA subcontractor has agreed to pay $46 million after it was found to have knowingly sold faulty aluminum to the space agency and other businesses over 19 years. The scam resulted in two failed launch missions and more than $700 million in damages, NASA said. [HuffPost]DEATH TOLL FROM NZ MOSQUE SHOOTINGS RISES Seven weeks after the mass shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, its death toll has risen to 51.
