Speaking of the best bop by Ursula, Donald Glover is defending Halle Bailey staring as Ariel in Disney's live action "The Little Mermaid" after the announcement sparked backlash among an anti-black crowd whose Twitter fingers always seem to be on ready. At the "Lion King" premiere, Glover had a message for the 19-year-old singer, “It’s a very special role and you earned it, so I hope you’re listening.” Oh, and while we're on the topic of the premiere, I KNOW y'all saw Blue Ivy looking like Beyoncé Jr. as she donned a matching blazer set with her mom on the red carpet. You love to see it. OK, before I end this lil portion of the newsletter, I have one more joke for y'all. Jermaine Dupri. That's it. That's the joke.
