The Supreme Court is set to answer that question in a trio of cases scheduled for oral arguments in October: Altitude Express Inc. v. Zarda, Bostock v. Clayton County, Ga., and R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. (That's Don Zarda in the pic above. He was fired from his job as a skydiving instructor because of his sexual orientation.)The idea that the court would actually issue a ruling that allows employers to fire LGBTQ workers seems almost impossible to believe in 2019, years after the court legalized gay marriage.But here we are.Today a range of groups -- including some Republicans -- filed briefs arguing for the rights of LGBTQ Americans at the Court.
