Happy Fourth of July, guys! This week, we have a story for singles on how to really celebrate your own independence. (Read it once the fireworks have died down.) Though many of us stress about still being single at a certain point of our lives, therapists say the years on your own can be some of the most enriching. “The reality is, being single should be celebrated and praised, as it’s during our aloneness that we oftentimes find ourselves, our purpose and our passions,” therapist Deborah Duley told me. “And that’s what raises our attractiveness to others and fills our own self-love tank.” Engagement photos don’t get any sweeter than this: Brazilian couple Karina and Renato decided to shoot their engagement pics at Luisa Mell Institute, a São Paulo-based organization that provides shelter and adoption services to abused or abandoned animals in cities across Brazil. The couple are plenty cute themselves, but the furry friends they met that day really stole the show. The best part? They adopted a cat from the shelter. If you’re an animal lover and a firm believer in “adopt, don’t shop,” you’re going to love these pics. They’re back! Join hosts Emma Gray and Claire Fallon as they lovingly snark and recap the latest episodes from The Bachelorette. 👋You may have noticed our website is now www.huffpost.com.
