[AP]FBI ARRESTS ARMY MEMBER OVER BOMB PLOT The FBI has arrested a U.S. Army infantry soldier on a weapon of mass destruction charge after he reportedly discussed a plotting to bomb a major U.S. news network. He had reportedly “spoken about his desire to travel to Ukraine to fight with the Ukraine-based violent far-right paramilitary group, Azov Battalion.” [HuffPost]UNDER FIRE, OIL GIANTS MOUNT A DEFENSE On Monday, as world leaders discussed the urgency of slashing carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels, 13 of the world’s biggest fossil fuel companies presented their defense at a forum across town. But most of their proposals appeared designed to perpetuate the use of oil and gas for decades to come. This racial inconsistency means he’s eligible for affirmative action programs in Washington state, but not in Washington, D.C.
