Needless to say that his little gaffe didn't go unnoticed and prompted several jokes and memes on Twitter. Prime Minister Modi also faced criticism for sharing a video of him "segregating" plastic with women rag pickers on a red carpet while launching the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign in Mathura. People called him out for this photo op in a highly sanitised environment, while the women actually have to work under hazardous conditions with little help from the government. While addressing the meeting of the Board of Trade, Piyush Goyal said, “Don’t get into calculations about the economy. Don’t get into maths. Maths never helped Einstein discover gravity.”Goyal, according to India Today, was trying to defend the government against the allegations of economic slowdown. He was answering a question on how projected GDP growth rates don’t seem to align with the $5 trillion-dollar economy mission, the report added.  Sat on a red carpet, in the middle of which was a pile of garbage, Narendra Modi “segregated” it with the help of women waste pickers in Mathura on Wednesday.
