Cohen said he worked “at the direction of a candidate for federal office” for the purpose of influencing the election, pleading guilty to five counts of tax evasion, two counts related to an illegal campaign contribution and one count of making a false statement. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), the second person to throw his support behind then-candidate Trump, has been indicted, along with his wife, on charges of filing false campaign finance records. Rep.
