Click here   By Paul Vale     Wednesday, August 1  REPORTER: HOSTILITY TOWARD MEDIA WILL GET SOMEONE HURT CNN reporter Jim Acosta was abused by a febrile crowd at a Tampa, Florida, rally for President Donald Trump Tuesday night, with attendees shouting abuse at the newsman and giving him the middle finger. “Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa,” Acosta wrote in sharing a video of the scene. “I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt,” he added. The crowd, knowing it was untrue, cheered anyway. The original proposed levy was 10 percent. [Bloomberg] FACEBOOK DELETES PAGES AIMED AT MIDTERM MEDDLING Facebook has found evidence of “coordinated inauthentic behavior” designed to influence U.S. politics ahead of the November midterm elections. The activity could be linked to the Russian Internet Research Agency that organized a disinformation campaign ahead of the 2016 presidential vote. According to NBC, Facebook deleted the pages in question without revealing the divisive disinformation used by the “bad actors,” including posts that stoked racial tension. Noah’s parents, who are suing Jones for defamation for claiming their son’s death was an elaborate hoax, have faced death threats and online harassment from Jones’ followers.
