What else is new? In a Brooklyn court today, R. Kelly pled not guilty to sexually abusing women and young girls. He's being charged with exploiting five victims. He was denied bail. This hearing comes a month after his arrest in a separate Chicago child pornography case. Speaking of people who should be in prison, Officer Daniel Pantaleo, the cop who killed Eric Garner, has been suspended from the NYPD after a judge recommended that he be fired. Though that doesn't mean he will be permanently terminated, I hope that it's a step in the direction of the justice that Garner's family rightfully deserves. Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky and two others are temporarily out of Swedish jail until August 14, when the verdict on their assault case will be announced. You know I like to leave y'all with a bit of levity so this week's is courtesy of "A Black Lady Sketch Show," which premieres tonight on HBO. It's absolutely hilarious and so so so needed.
