Click here Friday, March 8MANAFORT GETS JUST 47 MONTHS Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman, was sentenced to less than four years in prison as part of the special counsel’s probe into the 2016 election -- shockingly short of sentencing guidelines of 19 to 24 years for his conviction on eight counts of tax and bank fraud. Judge T.S. Ellis said decades in prison would be “excessive” for someone who had “lived an otherwise blameless life.” The judge somehow overlooked Manafort’s long career as a lobbyist for some of the planet’s most notorious dictators. Ilhan Omar’s latest comments behind them with a vote on a resolution condemning hate speech and bigotry — an indirect rebuke of the freshman Minnesota Democrat. However, 23 Republicans voted against the resolution, seemingly because it didn’t single out Omar, though many of the no votes came from some of the most far-right members of Congress.
